Plastic Jericho (4:32)

Monday was raining, and I was dreaming that the walls were coming down
First came the thunder, and then the anger,
I can feel the danger, but it didn't make me frown

Oh, my Plastic Jericho,
It might be faded, it's the only one I know
Someday we will find it, live our lives behind it,
We'll laugh at all the wanderers who are strugglin' down below…

Monday was foolin', and I was reelin', yes I was dealing with the
blindness in my eyes…
and then the storm broke, the ground was restless
If you were on the guest list you could be so fucking high…

Oh, my Plastic Jericho,
It might be faded, it's the only one I know
Someday we will find it, live our lives behind it,
We'll laugh at all the wanderers who are strugglin' down below…

Oh, if life's a dream, wake me up before I scream,
not made of metal, not made of clay,
you've seen the walls just fade away...

Monday was raining, and I was dreaming, yes I was hoping it was...

So Damn Happy (3:09)

Can't see the sights to the left or the right,
until the smoke clears from my head…
Well my brain cells are playing hard to get, can you repeat what you
just said?...
Well I left my mind at half past nine,
I made a wrong turn in my dreams…
Reality's on the road so far behind that things aren't as they seem…

Can anybody show me the way back to my head?
'Cause the things I see are tellin' me that I should've stayed in bed…
Can anybody show me the way back to my head?
Do you know why I'm So Damn Happy?

Well there's people talking to my body,
but now it's just an empty shell…
Well my mind left off for outer space, so my eyes thought they might as
well…
Well I'm not makin' sense, but I'm sittin' on a fence,
thinkin' 'bout my vital signs…
and little Jack Crack got the monkey off his back,
now he's headed for the city line…

Can anybody show me the way back to my head?
'Cause the things I see are tellin' me that I should've stayed in bed…
Can anybody show me the way back to my head?
Do you know why I'm So Damn Happy?

Oh, the way back to my head...

Purple (4:33)

Little bit of luck can make this thing go far,
until right now we've been running around in a circle...
With a little bit of love we could be happier by far,
Someday I'd like to paint the whole world Purple,
If I could, you know I would...

A little bit of time is only what we've got,
if we trade in all our days for one tomorrow,
A little bit of color can turn into a lot,
if someone had a canvas I could borrow...
'Cause if they did, you know I would...

How could we have known that we would set out on our own,
blown astray by the wind...but our paths will meet again...
Over and over and over and over and over and over again...

Sunrise Highway (5:24)

The dream is in my sight,
and my mind's been captured by this overdose of light...
And the face that brought me change
has now begun to strangely rearrange,
But I've seen better ways, I'm not too easy to amaze
Sunrise Highway, someday we will find...
Sunrise Highway, it's always on my mind...
Can't you see that this could be the future of mankind?
Sunrise Highway, young man don't be blind...

The eye has doubts of peace,
and the road ahead shows darkness soon will cease...
We're closer than we've ever been,
traffic rolls on towards the sun...

But I've seen better ways, the need for change inside me always stays...
Someday I'll find my Sunrise Highway

The dream is in my sight,
and my mind's been captured by this overdose of light...
And the face that brought me change,
has now begun to strangely rearrange...

But I've seen better ways, the need for change inside me always stays...

Sunrise Highway is where I wanna be...
Sunrise Highway, come on now and see...
You got the time, so get in line, come on board with me,
Sunrise Highway, young man go be free...

But I've seen better ways, the need for change inside me always stays...
The dream is in my sight...

Hard To Tell (3:52)

From here it's hard to tell...

You told me once the way it is, I've forgotten long since then,
Save your breath for the next time around, 'cause I'll be back again...
Still you try to slow me down, take the things I have,
If you could see the things I've seen, you would know it's not so bad...

But the lights are bright, I can smell the smoke, I might not be far from hell...
But my knees are weak and my head's on fire, and from here it's hard to tell...
from here it's Hard To Tell...

Told you once the way I feel, before you turned your head...
But did you know that my heart was real?, that is before it bled...
Still you try to slow me down, take the things I have,
If you could see the things I've seen, you would know it's not so bad...

I've had time to search my soul, and I've found a seed that I'll plant and nurture well...
But my eyes are blind and my mind's on fire and from here it's hard to tell...

You told me once the way it is, I've forgotten long since then,
Save your breath for the next time around ,'cause I'll be back again...

But the lights are bright, I can smell the smoke, I might not be far from hell...
But my knees are weak and my head's on fire, and from here it's hard to tell...
from here it's Hard To Tell...

From here it's hard to tell...

Laughing Colors (3:48)

I feel the energy inside all your dreams,
The colors are laughing and hiding the screams
of the child who's on the corner, and the old man on the hill,
and the light inside your eyes that's telling me I love you still…
I've directed my attention on the way the world should be,
Did I forget to mention that the colors are laughing at me?

I feel so angry inside all your fears,
The colors are smiling and hiding the tears
of the child who's in a prison, and the old man in his grave,
and the light inside your eyes that tells me there's so much to save...
I've directed my aggression on the Earth and to the sea,
You can tell by my expression that the colors are laughing at me...

I feel so angry inside all your fears,
The colors are smiling and hiding the tears
of the child who's on the corner, and the old man on the hill,
and the light inside your eyes that's telling me I love you still...
I've directed my attention on the way the world should be,
Did I forget to mention that the colors are laughing at me?

Good News (5:21)

When I woke up this morning, the light was awfully bright.
In fact I can't remember what I did last night.
And then this voice spoke to me, the sound filled my room.
Was this a beer commercial, or was this the hand of doom?
And still this voice is talkin', it tells me wrong from right...
Tell me, am I dreamin', listening to this light?
Well the telephone was ringing and the TV was on...
I'm talkin' to God in my Fruit of the Looms...what the hell is goin' on?

Good News, From Beyond, if you don't believe in God, well he's on your lawn!
Good News for you...
Good News, From Beyond, my wallet's all empty and my whiskey's gone,
Good News for you...

So I got up out of bed, didn't even bother gettin' dressed.
And I was wondering if I sinned sometime, somewhere,
I knew the answer must be yes...
But I started for the kitchen to get a bite to eat,
And I could feel the earth rumblin', I could feel it shakin' beneath myfeet.
But I reached for the milk inside the refrigerator door.
And this voice is pounding inside my head, this voice I can't ignore...
But I grabbed a bowl from the cupboard and I grabbed the cereal,
and then I saw God's face on my box of Cheerios!

Good News, From Beyond, if you don't believe in God, well he's on your lawn!
Good News for you...
Good News, From Beyond, my wallet's all empty and my whiskey's gone,
Good News for you...

7-11 Blues (4:53)

Well it's midnight on a Friday and I've just been gettin' stoned,
I know where I'm goin' 'cause it's on my way home...
They won't serve me liquor, they won't serve me beer,
but they're open every hour, every minute of the year...
It doesn't matter anyway 'cause I don't want no booze,
I'm gonna stuff my face with Slim Jims, I got those 7-11 Blues.

Well there's trouble with my Slurpee, the machine's done sprung a leak,
there's burrito in the microwave and it's been there for a week...
Well I look in the shoplifting mirror and I can't believe my eyes,
there's a bum down in the corner and he's eatin' apple pies...
He's got Twinkies in his pockets, he's got bubblegum in his shoes,
and I can tell now just by lookin', he's got those 7-11 Blues.

Well it doesn't matter what time it is
'cause I'll jump right out of bed,
and I'll go downtown to see the man with the red dot on his head...
And if I don't got no money, I don't worry how to pay,
I just take a couple quarters from the Jerry's Kids display...
Lord no, no I said, ya don't wanna, don't wanna be in my shoes,
cause I got those low-down, low-down 7-11 Blues.

Well it's 4 o'clock in the morning and I must make my escape,
so I head down College Parkway, and I hit the one by Cape...
Well the one in Severna Park I can stop by and get gas,
If that bitch cards me for cigarettes, stuff a Big Bite up her ass...
No, no, no, I said, you don't wanna be in my shoes,
cause I got those low-down, low-down 7-11 Blues.
