This is a live show recorded @ A.L. Gators is Pasadena Md in the summer of 1993. A.L. Gators was one of the main rooms LC played in 1990s and the large room (capacity 1000) was instrumental in growing their loyal fan base. Friends and fans still talk about "Buck Wild Sundays" when the band played at A.L.Gators every Sunday for over a year. Formerly "the Sandbar" and "Network," the venue eventually became "Daytona's" before it sadly closed it's doors in 2000. It is now a buck wild CVS Pharmacy.
The band's first of many albums recorded at High Heel Studios (now Wright Way Studios) in Baltimore, Md. The album was produced and engineered by Arnold Geher and Mitch Allan from SR-71.
This was the band's first recording with Will Dorsey Jr., whose amazing drum work was the missing piece to the Laughing Colors sound. After this album was released in 1995 98 Rock Baltimore played the single "The Solution," and because of steady requests it wound up in regular rotation. LC's popularity began to grow exponentially.
Recorded on 11.15.96 (hence, the name), this was one of the final shows at the legendary HammerJacks in Baltimore, before it was demolished to make room for the Ravens Stadium.
Among LC fans, the show itself has become legendary.
Recorded live at the Recher Theatre with the band in "unplugged" mode. This show was a "re-take" of an earlier show where the recording equipment failed (@#$&!!!).
Kellie and Kim Hall add their awesome voices.
Here are some unreleased demos from around the time of NBS.
American Boy was recorded with the legendary Eddie Kramer at Sheffield Studios. LC got the opportunity by submitting a demo to Kramer's "people". He was doing a nationwide workshop for up and coming producer wanna-bes. Sheffield Studios was his Mid-Atlantic stop, LC was the guinea pig. Awesome experience!!!
A live recording of Dave's not-so-politically correct acoustic songs. Recorded live at Coconuts on August 13th, 2001 with a crowd that is just as much a part of the album as the songs are. If you were there, you know who you are.
The bands first album with producer Steve Wright, who took over High Heel and renamed it Wright Way Studios. Unfortunately, the couches still smelled like musicians.
The final studio album, recorded at Wright Way and also at Bobnique Studios in Boston Mass with producer Anthony J Resta. This album was released just before LC called it quits, so many fans were unable to get it. Ask and ye shall receive.
